Riding & Racing at top speed The new UP & UPPER
10 years after the OPEN U.P. defined the gravel bike, we have perfected it.
The new UP & UPPER will come in several versions. First up: the U.P.PER. CONCE.PT.
This is a very different OPEN, yet it answers the same question: “What do we want to ride?”
U.P. 2.0 versus U.P.PER. 2.0
We love fork design. Tire clearance, steering geo, aero, compliance, cargo, braking efficiency - it's all there.
U.P.(PER) 2.0 has 2 styles in 5 sizes.
Aero where it matters,Comfort where it counts.
OPEN B.A.R.(Break All Rules)
One-piece bar-stems look nice and can be light, but lack adjustability. Enter the OPEN B.A.R., with its closed-form 100% carbon composite design. No threaded inserts or vertical cut for the clamping bolts, just continuous fibers for the best weight, stiffness & strength.
Even better, our patented internal clamp system lets you adjust stem length by 15mm in 5mm steps. Often you can even adjust the length without undoing the brake hoses.
With 10 different bars, there is always one perfect for you. Welcome to the OPEN B.A.R. Cheers!

TITLE
If we have to characterize what OPEN means to us in one word, it’s freedom. Ultimately that is the feeling we get when riding our bikes, and we hope you do too. For us personally, OPEN also represents freedom in a different way, free from the usual pressures of the (bike) business, of “new and improved” product launches and sales targets.
A couple of years ago, it was time to evaluate how things were going. Freedom is still our guiding star and with everything that was happening in the world at that time (and still continues today), we concluded that freedom needs to permeate everything we do at OPEN. While we are under no illusion that a tiny bike company can change the world, we simply didn't want to support anything "un-free" anymore.
Concretely this means our new designs will be “Made in Freedom” in countries such as Portugal, Italy and Taiwan. Of course production costs are higher that way, we don’t really care (free from the pressures of the bike industry, remember?).
and a not unimportant bonus, it led us to working with CarbonTeam, who makes incredibly high-quality frames with QC systems I have not seen elsewhere in the industry. So truly a win-win.
To be very clear, we do this because WE want to do this. We hope you agree, but it's totally fine if you don't. This is not a virtue competition, everybody should run their lives and businesses as they see fit.

Geometry
The new fine-tuned geometry provides even more agile handling and is very consistent across the size range.
For current OPEN riders, you will normally keep the same size but with a 10mm shorter stem (as the frame is 10mm longer in effective reach (slightly different from standard reach).
