BOTM: CENTO U.P.P.E.R. - part 1

Andy Kessler - 23-Feb-2018
Last July we had a series of BOTM blogs about crazy people that transferred their U.P. or U.P.P.E.R. in a piece of art. We had Cento an Italian graphity artist, passionate U.P.P.E.R. owner and brand ambassador riding the Transcontinental race on his "mobile gallery...

We decided back then to make a limited edition of 10 unique hand painted U.P.P.E.R. frames but we never really pushed it as the U.P.P.E.R frames we got into stock were gone the next minute. Not that we have huge stock now but there is light at the end of the tunnel thats why we launch now officially - almost 8 month later - this bike of the month.

There are still 5 of the 10 units that are looking for a home.

One thing I mention in the video is not really correct anymore... but more about that in one of my next blogs...

...and now just 20 hours after I have posted this first part of this BOTM I sadly have to say that all are gone.... sorry if you have missed the opportunity but we will do some other crazy stuff in the future.

Hi Doug, very happy that you enjoy your ONE+.. Some wise guy told me: cycling is great you can do that sport until you fall of dead from your bike.... so the perfect spot for a man with many mechanic problems :-)

That actually happened to a local legend and good friend of mine, he was climbing a hill a block from my house @ the young age of 92 and fell off his bike and died. Lets hope we both make it that long on our bikes, I'm shooting for 100.
Cheers,
Doug

Wow, love that cassette! Did you have any problem fitting it with the standard Sram Force 1 Derailleur?

Hi Andy,

I am the owner of the Yeti version and are looking for a good 650b wheelset,

It is intersting to see that you have a dt mtb wheel on, how do you figure to solve the 15mm TA to 12 TA issue?

I emailed DT and they said there is no solution for that, that is said

Hi Gary, great frame and hope you have fun with it. I guess you are looking for a XRC1250 or XMC 1250. Then you can use:HWGXXX00S7564S. Each of their hubs are a bit different but most can be converted.

Hallo there, I am thinking of changing my Sram 10-42 cassette with an ethirteen 9-46 one. Does this one fit with my Enve 29 50/50 wheelset? Hubs are Chris King 15/142. Thank you very much for your advice.

Hallo Ralf, soweit ich weiss braucht er einen normalen Marker und macht dann aber einen Klarlack drüber. LG Andy
