BOTM: ONE OF THE LAST ONE'S - PART 1

Andy Kessler - 30-Sep-2023
its flashback time again...

it all started in Hong Kong... 12 years ago. We launched probably the world lightest MTB frame and it even had integrated cables; the O-1.0. We went for a ride with select retailers all over the world, and the very first ride was in Hong Kong. Professional photography was not included yet.

A couple of years later we launched the ONE+, arguably one of the most versatile hardtail frames with 29 as well as 27+ wheel options.

Lately we kind of offered the ONE+ under cover. It was popular among a group of die-hard fans, but it was obviously very small compared to the UP, WIDE and MIND. So we kept producing it, but since a while it was no longer on the website.

It's a piece of history for us and I just had to build one last ONE+ to add it to our museum....  and yes that means we stop producing them but we have a few left...

and to really prove to you that this is not a marketing bullshit video, here two pictures from this week's commute....

Btw, I have all the first production or prototype frames here in Basel (serial numbers ....01).  The only one missing is the U.P. If you have the UP with serial number UP-0001 and want to upgrade to an U.P.P.E.R, send me a mail (contact form on the left). I will be slow to respond the next two weeks though, so bear with me.

Hi Andy, fantastic video. That morning ride looks relaxing and enjoyable, and the bakery ends it - what else can you ask for?! JP.

Sorry to hear you are no longer making the One+! I love mine and would buy again. Any plans for a new mountain bike?

I promised Andy I would jokingly write here that the fully is almost ready. But I can't, and it isn't. Sorry.

Hello. Such a cool bike. I just transformed it to a Mullet bike: 29er front/27.5 rear. It is a little quicker, especially on corners. And I like the 2.6 Forekaster tires on the rear. I am wondering if a tech page still exists for the bike. Thanks! EL
