BOTM: OPEN X Rene Herse MIN.D. Limited Edition - part 1

Will it blow your mind?

First of all, WOW, so good to be finally back blogging. As Gerard explained, we have had a lot of tech issues with our new website, but it's coming around and starting to work much better, including the blog editor. So we will be sharing lots of stuff with you in the next few months, as we have gathered up a lot of news, Bikes Of The Month and projects for you.

Back to the topic of this blog. I love the simplicity of the MIN.D. the perfect blend of cutting edge technology and clean aesthetics. Those of you that have ever ridden one, have experienced the perfect mix of performance and comfort. Nimble handling, fast acceleration and endless comfort that does not make you stop once you leave the smooth tarmac.

Making that MIN.D. frame look even better?

Of course the first step is to choose the perfect paint  job...Rene Herse light blue with a matt clear coat and vintage Rene Herse logos.

We got one of the first brand new SRAM AXS RED 2x groupsets. Not only does it look good but the lever design and ergonomics are just amazing. Also the braking power is much better compared to the old RED. Not that I had any problem with it, but now you can brake like on your MTB levers, with one finger only and therefore you can actually also stay on the hoods on faster downhills.

German BEAST components has a new one piece cockpit (I think its not even on their website yet) that makes the MIN.D. even look cleaner. You are not really saving on weight with that combo but you get increased comfort and ergonomics.

Last but not least Rene Herse Orondo Grade tires 700x31 set up with their new super light latex inner tubes (28 grams only!) mounted on a pair of BEAST RS 25 wheels in UD finish.

But wait, there's more. For the real finishing touch, you may have spotted my shoes. Swiss brand Supplest makes really nice road shoes and for us they made a version with 4 differently colored BOA dials, matching our 4-color logo. That is to say, they match our old logo, so we're selling the last pairs at a super price

You want to get one?

This frame is custom painted in Italy (6 to 9 weeks leadtime). We only produce a few of them. If you are interested in one, contact your local OPEN dealer or send us a mail.

I love your collabs and like this color, but the midnight blue is really special. A friend of mine has one of those, and I am quite envious I have to say!
