READY TO PAINT COMPETITION - PART 2

General
Actually I made a mistake in my last blog about the "ready to paint contest" that we launched together with DT Swiss and Vitra. I talked a lot about "design" and thats somehow misleading as design is often described as a more or less scientific process to make something look pretty.
Most of our ready to paint projects are actually not about the design they are about art. Capturing this story of life, this mood, this photographic moment there is much more behind those painted frames than just to make them look nice. I see it more like a tattoo - it always has a personal relation to the owner and often only one person knows about the whole story behind it.
So it is less the result of a plan but more the outcome of a certain moment in life. It may please too many people or just to one single person. It is not important.... the important thing is to capture this one moment and to turn it into a memory by "putting a clear coat" over it...
I still have this vision of my personal " ready to paint" project and one day I will realise it.
Here are the beauty- and making-off shots of our "ready to paint" contest winner.
