A fast rider position combined with monster tire clearance (up to 700x66c / 29x2.6") keeps you fast & comfortable, even on the worst possible terrain.

Our new AC/DC+ aero cargo fork gives you the speed you want in one-day rides & races and super-light cargo options for long expeditions. Standard on all WI.DE. 2.0 versions.

Multiple cargo options with 2 internal bags in the downtube, 2+1 rivnuts on the toptube for a short or long bag, 3 rivnuts under the toptube for an (aero) framebag & extra BB rivnuts.

10 sizes of OPEN B.A.R. & 15mm of stem length micro-adjustment for each bar ensure a perfect fit. Closed carbon structure without inserts or cuts for optimal stiffness/strength/weight.

Worry-free details such as a UDH hanger, a T47 threaded BB and internal routing with easy cockpit adjustments mean more riding and less wrenching.

Aero where it matters,
Comfort where it counts.

Aero matters most up-front (headtube, fork, bars, downtube), where airflow is still smooth. But aero without comfort is pointless if you cannot stay in your aero position on long rides. We optimize aero and compliance together, through tube design and carbon layup.

As we go further back on the frame, comfort always beats aero. The seattube, chainstay & seatstay shapes ensure the comfort OPEN is known for. As a bonus, the ultra-thin seatstays keep the frontal area small. They even get a micro-aero treatment.

OPEN B.A.R.
(Break All Rules)

The WI.DE. 2.0 also gets our patented OPEN B.A.R. system, which can adjust stem length by 15mm in 5mm steps, so twice as precise as any other setup and you don't even have to swap the stem (or in most cases, undo the brake hoses).

Our internal clamp also allows for a closed-form 100% carbon composite design. No threaded inserts or vertical cut for the clamping bolts, just continuous fibers for the best weight, stiffness & strength.

With 10 different bars (and the 4 stem lengths inside each one), there is always a perfect B.A.R. for you.

Note: Previous generation OPEN frame riders will usually convert to the same frame size of the U.P.|U.P.PER. 2.0 with a 10mm shorter stem to compensate for the 10mm longer effective frame reach (ignore standard reach in the geometry chart for this purpose). So keep that in mind when selecting your OPEN B.A.R. size.

U-Turn AC/DC+:
Aero & Cargo in one

The U-Turn AC/DC+ (Aero-Cargo-Double-Combo) gives you the best of both worlds. It has a full aero profile for those fast rides and races, no matter how rough the terrain gets.

To carry extra cargo on long adventures, use the integrated cargo slots. Strap your bags directly onto the fork legs with no weight penalty or install a standard cargo or bottle cage.

Double-drop chainstays: For maximum tire clearance and a stiff box structure behind the bottom bracket, both chainstays are dropped.

Deep section headtube: Deep, aero section headtube provides better aerodynamics, plus increased torsional stiffness for confident handling.

Internal storage: 2 internal frame bags fit all your tools and emergency kits. The cover is secured with the trusted Fidlock© latch. Additional integration options coming Fall 2026.

Broadshoulder dropouts: Installing wheels with disc brakes and thru axles can be a real pain if the wheel isn't lined up correctly. The extra broad shoulder dropouts (50-100% wider than standard) makes it a breeze.

Smartmount 160: Both front and rear brake calipers are mounted directly to the fork/frame without any brackets and correctly positioned for 160mm discs. This is the safest and stiffest setup possible.

T47: The new standard for threaded BBs, embraced by the leading BB makers. It's spacious enough for any crank axle (oversized 30mm, SRAM DUB, Shimano, 24mm) and combine that with a wide 86mm BB shell to maximize the connection to the chainstays.

27.2mm round seatpost: The most boring seatpost size may not look like a design choice, but it is. It is light, offers great compliance and is compatible with many dropper and/or suspension posts.

Long TTbag-ready: With long toptube bags becoming more popular, just having two rivnuts near the stem isn't enough. Our third rivnut near the seattube adds stability.

UDH: The new UP and UPPER are UDH compatible, meaning it can be paired with any standard drivetrain (SRAM, Shimano, Campagnolo, etc) using a UDH hanger and with SRAM Transmission rear derailleurs (direct-mount to the frame).

Rotoblock fender mounts: Standard fender mount are eyelets, which can cause the fender wires to flex and rotate (causing rattling and even rubbing). Our unique fender mounts thread directly into the frame, thereby eliminating any rotation and stiffening the setup.

Made In Freedom

If we have to characterize what OPEN means to us in one word, it’s freedom. Ultimately that is the feeling we get when riding our bikes, and we hope you do too.

For us personally, OPEN also represents freedom in a different way, free from the usual pressures of the (bike) business, of “new and improved” product launches and sales targets.

A few years ago, seeing everything that was happening in the world, we concluded that freedom needs to permeate everything we do at OPEN. While we are under no illusion that a tiny bike company can change the world, we simply didn't want to support anything "un-free" anymore. So we decided to move all our production to countries that score well in various democracy rankings (The Economist Democracy Index, Freedom House's Freedom in the World report).

To be very clear, we do this because WE want to do this. We hope you agree, but it's totally fine if you don't. This is not a virtue competition, everybody should run their lives and businesses as they see fit. The WI.DE. 2.0 frame is built in Portugal.

RRTP (Raw-Ready-To-Paint)

A clearcoat is not needed for UV protection but recommended to protect against scratches and wear. Some customers leave the frame bare.

Recommended groupsets

For serious gravel and off-road (on any brand of bike), we recommend a rear derailleur with a clutch or cage damper for chain management. The WI.DE. 2.0 is compatible with the following electronic groupsets:

- All SRAM AXS (some older generation power cranks may have clearance issues)

- All Shimano GRX Di2

- Campagnolo Super Record 13 with nano clutch (RD02-SR13DHWRLC (max 36T for 2x or 1x fast) or RD02-SRX13WRL (max 48T))

Recommended tire sizes

Steering geometry is optimized for 50-66mm tires (700c). To get the most speed out of your WI.DE. 2.0 (combining aerodynamic & rolling resistance data), we recommend 55-66mm tires and at least 28mm internal width rims.

BB standard

T47 threaded bottom bracket (internal cups) with 85.5mm wide BB shell

Note: Unbelievable but the bike industry has managed to have TWO standards for internal cup T47 setups: 85.5mm and 86.5mm BB shell widths. And this makes a difference, so it's important to get a BB designed for 85.5mm wide shells, or use a 0.5mm spacer on each side if you use a BB made for 86.5mm shells (this is why we decided to go with 85.5mm, as it means you can fit either BB).

OPEN A.I.R. Geometry:
Agile | Integrated | Refined

A.I.R. is OPEN's approach to making rider and bike work as one: agile steering that feels lively on any terrain, integrated components that work together with the frame geometry as a system, and superior adjustment options to refine your position for both comfort and aerodynamics.

As gravel riding evolves, so does OPEN's approach to fit. The new frames are slightly longer and taller than their predecessors, reflecting how riders are pushing harder and further.

The steering geometry follows a consistent OPEN principle: the bike should feel as agile and lively as a road bike, despite running much larger, profiled tires. It's an often-overlooked ingredient — but essential on mixed terrain. Every size U.P. 2.0 frame has its own geometry and tube shapes; every fork size is also individually tweaked to deliver that trademark OPEN handling at every size.
