After a bad crash had me off the bike for several months, I had plenty of time to think about how I would like to ride going forward. That’s when I discovered OPEN (which happens to be headquartered in my hometown) and fell for the U.P.PER, which I had custom-build by aumer.92. Components as well as two wheel sets (one 700C for all-road and one 650B for gravel) are from Beast Components, a third super light wheel set is custom-built by aumer.92. The groupset was full Campagnolo Ekar until I swapped the rear derailleur and associated levers for the new Super Record X in late 2025. This is my go-to bike
